Fingerless Mitts #1

Classic turned hem and fully fashioned increases

In this first lesson you'll learn how to create a classic turned hem using my favorite technique using a cast on comb! Also you'll create beautiful shaping using a fully fashioned technique with these cute eyelets.

Fingerless Mitts #2

Mock Ribbing turned hem and fully fashioned increases

Mock ribbing looks like real ribbing but it is done using only the main bed of a knitting machine. No ribber attachment necessary! I'll teach you how to do a turned hem using waste yarn and a row of ravel cord.

Fingerless Mitts #3

Picot turned hem with fully fashioned increases

How cute is this picot edging? These 2 color mitts are show stoppers. Your friends will not believe you made these and everyone will want a pair. And great news for them, after this lesson, you can make some for everyone!

What You'll Need

  • Standard Gauge Machine

    For this lesson you only need a Standard Gauge knitting machine. No ribber attachment!

  • Fingering Weight Yarn

    You'll want a fingering weight yarn with a wool content from 80 - 100%. Wool has good elasticity that will work great for this project. You'll need about 200 grams total to make all 3 pairs of mitts.

  • Tools

    Make sure you have a cast on comb long enough for 50 sts. You'll also want waste yarn, ravel cord and a darning needle.
